Earth Hour on the Gold Coast

Heather and I participated in Earth Hour. From 8pm to 9pm we played scrabble by candle light. The view from the upstairs windows showed that most of the people in the local vacinity also participated. Well done the Gold Coast.

Off we go after much huffing and puffing

Ron has already left for Blighty. He has been there for about a week and it has snowed just about every day. He has bought a car and found Aunties Rita's caravan to be as luxurious as promised. He had a white Easter spent near Ipswich with brother, sister in law and his Mum. Now he is in Yorkshire with cousin Maxine and family. Off to the Dales today under a clear blue sky. (expect lots af weather descriptions when we are England it is sooo very important)

I have successfully rented our house in Byron Bay after a hiccupp or two and moved into my car for the next 2 weeks. Well not really. I will be staying here and there acting like a single free loader but no doubt having lots of fun as I finish off at TAFE.

First Attempt

This is my first blog and just a test to see how it all looks. I am hoping that I will be able to give a good account of my travels in Europe for friends and family to view.
